Our Story:

Elegance by Preeti was born from a passion for handloom textiles and a desire to create a meaningful impact. What started as a small initiative is now a globally trusted name in sustainable fashion and ethical Textile exports. Our focus is on quality over quantity.

We introduce ourselves as one of the leading Eri Silk yarn and fabric manufacturers as well as exporters from India with a focus on sustainability. We are a “Silk Mark Certified” company from the Silk Mark of India, Ministry of Textile, Government of India.

Our journey began with Eri Silk, harvested from the silkworm, called Samia Ricini, mostly found in the tribal regions in the state of Assam, situated in the Northeastern part of India. Unlike traditional silk, Eri Silk allows the moth to complete its life cycle naturally. Hence, the silkworm is not harmed while harvesting, which makes it a 100% cruelty free silk. That is the reason why it is called Ahimsa silk stoles, shawls, blanke(also popularly known as Peace Silk/Vegan Silk). It is widely used in the production of garments, ts, socks, curtains, bedsheets, quilts, pillow covers, crochet, table runners, rugs, and upholstery.

One of our most prized products is the Rarest of the Rare Super Luxurious Muga Silk, known as “Golden Thread of India”, acknowledged for its natural sheen and durability. Muga Silk is primarily used in the production of premium garments such as shirts, dresses, scarves, and more. What makes it truly unique is that it comes inherently in its golden-yellow hue, a color naturally produced by the Muga silkworm, found exclusively in Assam, India.

We work directly with women and artisans who are based in remote villages. Our Artisans are mastered in the art of hand-spinning this exquisite yarn to perfection and dye the yarn using natural processes. They are also actively experimenting in dyeing Eri Silk yarn and fabric using natural and plant-based dyes in a wide range of earthy and vibrant colors.
